The summer has been a busy time for the project –we’ve compiled more data and have“broken into” the 20th Century in our heritage numbers! The shape of rugby union in the county has changed dramatically in the tumultuous timescaused by the 'Rugby Leagueschism' and new teams are emerging as some disappear.
Excitingly, we have had the first sight of the webpages which will host the database –there is lots of work to do on them –images and some text but most importantly, for now, we’ve been able to test the functionality and search capabilities ofthe pages. The following screenshots will give you a sense of the final product (please note the data is dummy information for product testing only).

WHAT NEXT?
Over the remaining months of summer, we will continue to build contacts with clubs, supporters and heritage enthusiasts. So far, we have a bank of 450 player photos but can anticipate a total number of capped players exceeding 1500....
We really want to put names to faces so will be reaching out to clubs, media outlets and families – the more information shared, the more comprehensive our database. We have already received some “gems” from our followers and are sure there is more to come.
If clubs would like to host a heritage day we would be delighted to come along – the more the word is spread, the more information we will be able to collate, curate and protect.
